Possible causes

  • Water readily available to the painted surface.
  • Paint not containing algaecide.

Solution

  • Effected area should be cleaned with bleached solution followed by power washing to remove all algae and biomaterial. Allow surface to dry and apply appropriate paint (containing algaecide).
